Payment Terms
Payment for counselling sessions must be made at the time of booking or before the session begins, depending on your chosen method of payment.
Full payment secures your appointment. Sessions cannot go ahead unless payment has been received in advance. Details for payment will be provided upon booking.
If you have any questions about payment methods or need to make alternative arrangements, please get in touch before your scheduled session.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. This allows the session slot to be offered to someone else.
Cancellations made with more than 48 hours’ notice will not be charged.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee.
Missed sessions without notice are also charged at the full rate.
Exceptional Circumstances
I understand that emergencies or unexpected events can occur. If you experience a serious issue (e.g. illness, family emergency), please contact me as soon as possible - I will always do my best to be understanding and flexible where appropriate.
Refunds
Refunds are not issued for missed sessions or cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice.
If you cancel with more than 48 hours’ notice and have paid in advance, you may receive a refund or have the payment applied to a future session — at the discretion of Sam Parker Counselling.
Block Bookings (10 or 20 Sessions)
Late Cancellations
If you have purchased a block of 10 or 20 sessions:

Up to two late cancellations (less than 48 hours’ notice) may be permitted.

After two late cancellations, the package may be terminated without refund, or the number of sessions remaining may be reduced, at the discretion of Sam Parker Counselling.
Choosing to End Counselling Early
Choosing to end counselling is a personal and sometimes difficult decision -one I will always respect. I will never pressure you to continue with sessions if you feel they are no longer right for you.
To support flexibility and reduce financial risk, I encourage new clients to begin by booking one session at a time. After this, we can discuss whether a block booking feels appropriate for you.
If you choose to purchase a block of sessions and later decide to end counselling early, please note that refunds cannot be offered for unused sessions. To help avoid this situation, I do not offer block bookings to individuals who have not attended at least one full session with me first.
